Anyone who is experiencing COVID like symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID within the last 10 days must report this to the Court Security Officers at the entrance to any courthouse. In general, masking will be in accordance with CDC guidance and whether masks are required in any individual courthouse is outlined below. Please refer to General Order No. 419 for how the Court will operate during the different risk levels. |

Welcome to the U.S. Probation Office for the District of Idaho. The Probation Office is the investigative arm of the U.S. Courts and is charged with the responsibility to assist the U.S. Court in the impartial administration of justice through the investigation and supervision of individuals charged with and convicted of federal crimes. The U.S. Probation Office covers the entire state of Idaho. The U.S. Probation Office is the only federal law enforcement agency not under the Executive Branch of the Government.
This is the public website of the Probation and Pretrial Services unit for the District of Idaho. Our offices in Boise, Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Pocatello, and Twin Falls provide core services of pretrial investigation and supervision, presentence investigation, and post-conviction supervision of persons charged or convicted of federal crimes.
